“Delicious and Delightful”
Reviewed 24 August 2016 by markilee
We dined here last night, on the recommendation of friends, and the food, service and experience were wonderful and it is now on our list of favourite restaurants.
The restaurant is on the main road in Rothsay Bay, a little bit hidden with the construction of the new apartment building and parking is in short supply but well worth the search.
We had the house baked breads with assorted dips for Tastings, wonderfully fresh bread and generous servings of dips, beautifully presented.
For mains I chose Kebapi - once again homemade Macedonian sausages with accompaniments, very delicious. My husband chose the Seafood Hot Pot which he thoroughly enjoyed and commented on how delicious and fresh the fish was. We were too full for desert, so can not comment on that. You can take your own wine, and there is no charge for corkage. The prices are reasonable with generous servings.
The hostess was efficient, delightful and very helpful. The restaurant itself was lovely, nice comfortable seating, nice decor, very warm and welcoming.
Would highly recommend.

My husband, son, his girlfriend and I went to dinner on the recommendation of a nephew. From the moment we walked in the door, till the time we left we were mad to feel welcome. The food and service were excellent. We will be definitely be going back. They are celebrating their 3rd birthday from the 8 - 14th of August 2016. Spot prizes and a complimentary glass of wine during the celebration.
“regular diners”

This is one of our local restaurants and the one that we visit most regularly and have
reviewed it before.
The quality and value are consistent and the restaurant is popular with, and frequented by, the locals.
The owner, Oxana, is always pleasant and welcoming.
The menu has not changed significantly - though there are always specials for the evening - since we have been visiting but we have not found that a problem.
BYO with no corkage.
we will keep coming!

“Birthday Dinner”

I joined a few friends in celebrating my birthday by having dinner at Bella Bambina. Love the menu selection of pizzas, pastas and mains and byow along with a tasting of garlic bread and house special bread. A shame we had a rickety table and as the men leaned on it everything went crashing to the ground, including a bottle of red that had only had one glass poured out of it. At least the girls were happy with our bubbles! Great service and the opportunity to try a aperitif. I thoroughly recommend this place and will be going back again and again.

“Great friendly local, loved the atmosphere ”

Loved this place; it felt like being at a friends house for dinner, great atmosphere filled with a wide range of locals of all ages and nationalities. Tasty food, delicious desserts and BYO. We all had the mixed grill, very tasty homemade sausages and chicken wrapped in bacon with garlic bread and veggies. Caters well for kids. Loved the home made liquor as a complementary aperitif. We will be back thank you :).

“Good food, great atmosphere”

We were a small party of four, we all enjoyed the experience. Hubby and I had the meatloaf special with mash, we both thought it was nice but not great. Our dining companions loved their vegetarian pasta, we all thought the garlic pizza bread yummy and our deserts were great. The service was excellent and as I said earlier we had a lovely night. Shame we waited until three weeks before moving away from Auckland to try this little gem.

Small though clearly very popular, well on Saturday evening. a little too compact, though lovely warm reception. BYO wine if you choose. A complimentary shot of grappa. Varied menu. Some misunderstanding when ordering, though not an issue. Food was delicious and so was the Macedonian wine. Volume of food good level too!

Last night our group enjoyed a lovely meal, looked after by warm friendly staff who ensured we were delighted with every aspect of our night. It was a pleasure to be looked after by someone passionate about food, and had an easy manner with guests. Fabulous authentic Italian dining.
Very happy to recommend it to others. We will be back!

“Our favourite Restaurant in East Coast Bays, Auckland”
Reviewed 17 April 2016 by Peter W
The Hosts are delightful people who ensure you have a really nice meal and enjoy your time with them. Their complimentary aperitif and Macedonian/Italian menu will have you wanting to visit again. The restaurant is nicely decorated and just the place to dine if you are In Rothesay Bay. There are a lot of 'regulars' and that speaks for itself.

The greeting was immediate and we were seated and had menus - water and wine list presented, with the days Specials explained.
Then a complimentary apéritif arrived. 3 of us chose from the specials and one had the Roast Duck. Started out with the herb bread to share, while waiting for meals. All were wonderful and it is nice to have the BYO option as well as a comprehensive wine list.. We will be back as soon as possible. Bill & Barbara, Bernard & Rosine
